Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Bodenstown FC's Binnech Taylor started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Brite Palmer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dónal Bayes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Branson in the 3rd minute of play. In the 5th minute, Bivitas McIan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Conn Lavine received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dónal Bayes came out and tried to block the shot, but Conn Lavine slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 7th minute. In the 12th minute Bairrionn McWilliam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kevinn Horgan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 13 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Binnech Taylor sped through Carrigdangan's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kevinn Horgan. When Tomás Branson came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Carrigdangan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomás Branson couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bairrionn McWilliam during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 25th match minute, Bodenstown FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bairrionn McWilliam to maneuver through the defense. When Tomás Branson came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Carrigdangan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomás Branson couldn't finish the play. Bairrionn McWilliam got his second yellow card in the match during the 31st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 33rd minute, Bodenstown FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Bivitas McIan fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Dónal Bayes didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 37th minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. After a rather tough play, Carrigdangan's Ros McLian got a free kick in the 39th minute. Binnech Taylor took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kevinn Horgan. Kevinn Horgan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomás Branson made a kick off. Dónal Bayes came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Carrigdangan's Ros McLian. But to his dismay, Ros McLian quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Binnech Taylor got free with Kevinn Horgan in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 62 played minutes Carrigdangan got a freekick which was hit by Ros McLian. Conn Lavine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Dónal Bayes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dónal Bayes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Branson, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. After 67 minutes of play, Carrigdangan's Bivitas McIan made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dónal Bayes was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Bodenstown FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Declan Murphy hit a great ball. Dónal Bayes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Branson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 82 minutes of play, Carrigdangan's Bivitas McIan made it 6-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dónal Bayes was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 87th minute, Bree Glen Crowe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Carrigdangan's Briain Frankson got a free kick in the 88th minute. With an all-out effort, Bodenstown FC's Kevinn Horgan threw himself towards the right post 89 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Declan Murphy, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
