Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Imleach's Conn Frankson started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In a very dangerous position, a player in Imleach fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 6th minute. Penalty! 15 minutes into the game, Earnán Deans cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Dawayne McTommy was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Imleach's Dawayne McTommy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Imleach from getting a goal against them. When Earnán Deans fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ballykean's protests and gave Earnán Deans a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th match minute, Ballykean was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Earnán Deans to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute, Perry Beckett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pearson Dempsey in the 33rd minute of play forced Imleach's goalkeeper Dawayne McTommy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Ballykean's Dawayne McTommy threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Pearson Dempsey, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Dawayne McTommy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Earnán Deans in the 42nd minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Pearson Dempsey made the kick off in the second half. When Pearson Dempsey came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Ballykean fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pearson Dempsey couldn't finish the play. After having played for 54 minutes, Earnán Deans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ballykean's supporters crossed their fingers, but Earnán Deans was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dawayne McTommy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cormac Beckett, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pearson Dempsey in the 60th minute of play forced Imleach's goalkeeper Dawayne McTommy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dawayne McTommy came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Ballykean's Pearson Dempsey. But to his dismay, Pearson Dempsey quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Earnán Deans struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Dawayne McTommy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ballykean. 70 minutes into the match, Imleach's goal looked a bit too open when Earnán Deans came free, but Dawayne McTommy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 75 minutes of play, Ballykean's Pearson Dempsey made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dawayne McTommy was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Pearson Dempsey's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dawayne McTommy was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. Dawayne McTommy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Earnán Deans in the 93rd minute of the match. 95 minutes into the match, Pearson Dempsey notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Imleach's Dawayne McTommy. Dawayne McTommy was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
