Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Pearson Dempsey started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The supporters of Ballykean booed when Caheradrine was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bowie Benson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th minute, Pearson Dempsey left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ballykean fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. A collision led to Ballykean getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Pearson Dempsey hit a great ball. Pearson Dempsey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Peyton McNamee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Peyton McNamee showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Earnán Deans, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Peyton McNamee made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Earnán Deans in the 37th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Earnán Deans in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Peyton McNamee saved Caheradrine from getting behind. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Donn McSteven stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Terence Callaghan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Donn McSteven managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caheradrine's supporters rose to their feet, but Donn McSteven was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Booak McPeter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 75 minutes into the game, Donn McSteven cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Booak McPeter was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eamonn McWillie hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. 83 minutes into the match, Caheradrine's goal looked a bit too open when Pearson Dempsey came free, but Peyton McNamee reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 84 minutes into the game, Theobald Caffrey was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caheradrine's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ballykean the free kick. Theobald Caffrey kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 85th minute, Earnán Deans made a precise shot to the right of Peyton McNamee. Caheradrine's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. Peyton McNamee made an important save on a dangerous shot by Earnán Deans in the 90th minute. The supporters of Ballykean booed when Caheradrine was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bowie Benson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th match minute, Ballykean was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pearson Dempsey to maneuver through the defense. The Caheradrine fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ballykean were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
