Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Barnaby McAaron got the match started through his kick off. Giles Silke's late challenge caught a Ballykean's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Giles Silke helped the player get up and apologised. In the 6th minute, Cormac Beckett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Booak McPeter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barnaby McAaron, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Donell Caffrey charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Donell Caffrey the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 11 played minutes Clúb Futbol Campilé got a freekick which was hit by Donell Caffrey. In the 13th match minute, Ballykean was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pearson Dempsey to maneuver through the defense. Balor Caffrey made in the 16th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Earnán Deans. Booak McPeter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barnaby McAaron in the 18th minute of the match. If Bray Deans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 30 minutes of play, Clúb Futbol Campilé's Barnaby McAaron made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Booak McPeter was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Ballykean booed when Clúb Futbol Campilé was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berrigan Colwell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Devlin McNamee made in the 38th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Balor Caffrey however managed to control. Clúb Futbol Campilé's Bracken John proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Clúb Futbol Campilé from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Ballykean defense, Barnaby McAaron kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Booak McPeter. The Ballykean fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Booak McPeter should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pearson Dempsey made a kick off. Pearson Dempsey was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 57th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Barnaby McAaron could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Booak McPeter made a huge save. Clúb Futbol Campilé's Braon Caffey got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 70 minutes into the match, Clúb Futbol Campilé's goal looked a bit too open when Bray Deans came free, but Bracken John reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Clúb Futbol Campilé's Barnaby McAaron slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Booak McPeter. That made the score 1-4 after 78 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bray Deans in the 82nd minute of play forced Clúb Futbol Campilé's goalkeeper Bracken John to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bracken John took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pearson Dempsey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Donell Caffrey hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bray Deans in the 94th minute of play forced Clúb Futbol Campilé's goalkeeper Bracken John to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 97 minutes of play, Ballykean's Pearson Dempsey made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bracken John was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Ballykean lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
