In the 2nd minute, Harkin Dillon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bebhinn McTommy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hickey Perth in the 8th minute of the match. Brennen Delaney showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darick McFrancise, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 11th minute, Terry Martyn had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. 11 minutes into the game, Petran McPeter was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Springhill Utd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ballygar Town the free kick. Ballygar Town's George Branson was substituted for Terry Martyn. Petran McPeter hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Piers Sheridan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Brennen Delaney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 17 minutes into the game, Darick McFrancise cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Brennen Delaney was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Breslin Callaghan might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brennen Delaney. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Breslin Callaghan ran back to his position shaking his head. The attack was good, but when Piers Sheridan in the 20th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 27th minute of the match, Hickey Perth got a very nice opportunity to score, but Bebhinn McTommy was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Springhill Utd were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Ballygar Town's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Petran McPeter took the corner. In the 40th minute, Hickey Perth made a precise shot to the right of Bebhinn McTommy. Ballygar Town's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The Springhill Utd players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ballygar Town were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Hickey Perth made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Springhill Utd getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Barock MaCollin hit a great ball. In the 64th match minute, Springhill Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reamann Taylor to maneuver through the defense. Bebhinn McTommy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hickey Perth in the 68th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Darick McFrancise reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Brennen Delaney. The goal made the score 1-3. Piers Sheridan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Brennen Delaney came out and tried to block the shot, but Piers Sheridan slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 80th minute. In the 83rd minute, Darick McFrancise left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ballygar Town fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. In the 91st minute Piers Sheridan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brennen Delaney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brennen Delaney showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Piers Sheridan in the 92nd minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Ballygar Town left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Springhill Utd.
