Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Piers Sheridan made the kick off and thus started the match. Ballygar Town's Bebhinn McTommy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Ballygar Town from getting a goal against them. 9 minutes into the game, Eamonn McWillie was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caheradrine's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ballygar Town the free kick. After a rather tough play, Caheradrine's Eamonn McWillie got a free kick in the 9th minute. Caheradrine's Peyton McNamee played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Piers Sheridan in the 10th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Caheradrine's goal looked a bit too open when Piers Sheridan came free, but Peyton McNamee reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 15 minutes, Piers Sheridan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ballygar Town and the Caheradrine players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Caheradrine booed when Ballygar Town was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Piers Sheridan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tyrone McJames made in the 17th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Caheradrine's Boynton Rutherford. Phelan McDonald charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Phelan McDonald the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 24th minute, Donal McFrank hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st minute Shamus McGlynn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peyton McNamee saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Caheradrine's Terence Callaghan got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Tyrone McJames made in the 38th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Breslin Callaghan immediately put the ball in play. Caheradrine's Eamonn McWillie got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Donn McSteven stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Breslin Callaghan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Piers Sheridan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Peyton McNamee made a huge save. In the 62nd minute, Barney Grant hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 65 minutes, Tormaigh Doherty mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ballygar Town and the Caheradrine players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 65 played minutes Ballygar Town got a freekick which was hit by Tormaigh Doherty. 70 minutes into the game, Tyrone McJames was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ballygar Town's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caheradrine the free kick. After 71 played minutes Ballygar Town got a freekick which was hit by Tyrone McJames. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Donn McSteven in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bebhinn McTommy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Caheradrine's Peyton McNamee played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shamus McGlynn in the 73rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Caheradrine's Boynton Rutherford got a free kick in the 75th minute. The throw-in from Tyrone McJames in the 78th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Caheradrine's Bowie Benson. The audience thought a goal was coming when Darick McFrancise got free with Peyton McNamee in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Donn McSteven in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bebhinn McTommy saved Ballygar Town from getting behind. A collision led to Ballygar Town getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Tyrone McJames hit a great ball. Terence Callaghan's late challenge caught a Ballygar Town's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Terence Callaghan helped the player get up and apologised. With an all-out effort, Ballygar Town's Peyton McNamee threw himself towards the right post 95 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Piers Sheridan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Through an outstanding action, after 95 minutes, Peyton McNamee successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Caheradrine succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ballygar Town had controlled the match.
