Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bow McPeter started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes into the game, Bow McPeter recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tiarnan McLiam. Bow McPeter showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. A collision led to Ballintemple getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Donn Harkin hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Becan McSteven managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lavey's supporters rose to their feet, but Becan McSteven was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tate McLiam breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Boru Dillon during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 13 minutes into the game, one of Lavey:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Tiarnan McLiam, was totally fooled by Ballintemple's Farrell Mullan, who 15 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After having played for 20 minutes, Bow McPeter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ballintemple's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bow McPeter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lavey's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Brandon Deery scored to the left of an out of position Tiarnan McLiam, making the score, 3-0. After a rather tough play, Lavey's Artt McStephen got a free kick in the 29th minute. If Gearalt Palmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Lavey's zone, Bow McPeter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiarnan McLiam came out of the goal and Bow McPeter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 41 minutes of play, Lavey's Fergal McWill made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tate McLiam was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

Brandon Deery fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiarnan McLiam having to interfere. The supporters of Ballintemple booed when Lavey was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bree Deery didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 59 minutes, Bree Deery mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lavey and the Ballintemple players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bree Deery kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Tate McLiam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fergal McWill in the 63rd minute of play. In the 65th minute Lavey were awarded a corner. Boru Dillon went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Boru Dillon almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ballintemple's Tate McLiam did a great save. Brandon Deery received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Tiarnan McLiam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tiarnan McLiam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bow McPeter in the 76th minute of the match. Becan McSteven sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 88 minutes into the game, Ballintemple's Brandon Deery nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tiarnan McLiam made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Ballintemple walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
