Bel Taylor hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Benedict Gough kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Bel Taylor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tierney McGlenn having to interfere. Newtownbarry FC's Tierney McGlenn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eoghan Lavine in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eoghan Lavine in the 25th minute of play forced Newtownbarry FC's goalkeeper Tierney McGlenn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Barclay McTom kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bantry Prunty. That made the score 1-1 in the 30 minute of play. Newtownbarry FC's Tierney McGlenn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bel Taylor in the 33rd minute of play. In the 35th minute, Bean Todd hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eoghan Lavine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tierney McGlenn having to interfere. When Edwin Cassin fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Newtownbarry FC's protests and gave Edwin Cassin a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Eoghan Lavine managed to get in a good position for a shot. Raleagh AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eoghan Lavine was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tierney McGlenn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Newtownbarry FC's goalkeeper Tierney McGlenn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Boyce Dalton made the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Raleagh AFC got a freekick which was hit by Taveon Caffey. 57 minutes into the match, Raleagh AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Bairne Hughes came free, but Bantry Prunty reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dennis McTom was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 58 minutes into the match. After 59 played minutes Raleagh AFC got a freekick which was hit by Dennis McTom. If Raymond Tierney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cacey McLaughlin kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After 65 played minutes Newtownbarry FC got a freekick which was hit by Killian Delaney. Tierney McGlenn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eoghan Lavine, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Tierney McGlenn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raonall Lester in the 68th minute of play. In the 78thth minute of the game Eoghan Lavine who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Newtownbarry FC's Tierney McGlenn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bantry Prunty took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boyce Dalton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute Bairne Hughes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bantry Prunty saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tierney McGlenn came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Raleagh AFC's Eoghan Lavine. But to his dismay, Eoghan Lavine quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. If Eoghan Lavine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
