Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Dewain Tracy took the kick off in the first half of the match. 9 minutes into the match, Ciarán McCollion had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rownun Murphy. Coolmannan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ciarán McCollion was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Pierce Gallagher hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 17th match minute, Coolmannan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beacan Sheridan to maneuver through the defense. After 19 played minutes Coolmannan got a freekick which was hit by Donegal Caffey. After a defensive mix-up in Coolmannan's zone, Cullan Prunty stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rownun Murphy came out of the goal and Cullan Prunty tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 30th minute of the match Branigan Mullan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rownun Murphy showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 31st minute of the game Donegal Caffey made a throw-in which Donall Gallagher played forward. After having played for 33 minutes, Duff Sheridan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Knocktemple FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Duff Sheridan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 37th minute Duff Sheridan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rownun Murphy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Knocktemple FC's Cullan Prunty got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cullan Prunty struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Rownun Murphy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Knocktemple FC. Cullan Prunty sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dermod McCready was the one to do the kick off. Beacan Sheridan kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After 57 played minutes Coolmannan got a freekick which was hit by Brendanus MaCollin. Knocktemple FC's Cullan Prunty got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cullan Prunty fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rownun Murphy having to interfere. If Ciarán McCollion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 76th minute of the match Pierce Gallagher sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Boyle McJohn skillfully saved the ball. In the 80th minute, Dewain Tracy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Boyle McJohn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tierney McJon, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Rownun Murphy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Críostóir McWilliam's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. When the final whistle sounded Knocktemple FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Coolmannan.
