Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Saoirse McStephen took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 2nd minute, Pearce Johnson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 4th match minute, Tralee was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abbot Myler to maneuver through the defense. When Brennan Byrne fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Shankill's protests and gave Brennan Byrne a yellow card for diving instead. Brennan Byrne kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Blaire Byrne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brennan Byrne in the 12th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Tralee's Rowe Kirby ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Irwin McJohnny. Irwin McJohnny yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rowe Kirby in the 19th minute of play forced Shankill's goalkeeper Irwin McJohnny to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Irwin McJohnny made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Abbot Myler sent off a good shot on target. In the 34th match minute, Shankill was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trevor Crowe to maneuver through the defense. After 38 played minutes Shankill got a freekick which was hit by Trevor Crowe. Trevor Crowe made in the 46th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Artt McTom immediately put the ball in play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abbot Myler was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Shankill getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Saoirse McStephen hit a great ball. Irwin McJohnny took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rowe Kirby, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Irwin McJohnny made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rowe Kirby in the 67th minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Shankill's goal looked a bit too open when Rowe Kirby came free, but Irwin McJohnny reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Irwin McJohnny showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baird Jameson, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. The supporters of Shankill booed when Tralee was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baird Jameson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brennan Byrne was shown his second yellow card after 95 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Brennan Byrne kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Tralee players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
