When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Bivadas Matthews sped through Coolmannan's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rownun Murphy. After 42 played minutes Irishtown got a freekick which was hit by Artur Kelly. Donall Cronin scored 1-2 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rownun Murphy, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tierney McJon couldn't finish the play. Bivadas Matthews fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rownun Murphy having to interfere. Irishtown's Ciarán McCready suffered a sprained foot after 96 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Irishtown made a substitution. Benjamin Frankson replaced Ciarán McCready. In the 97th match minute, Coolmannan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beacan Sheridan to maneuver through the defense. Irishtown's Rowe Coyle suffered a sore foot after 98 minutes and couldn't finish the game. During the 98th minute of the match Brendanus MaCollin completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Brendanus MaCollin a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Irishtown made a substitution. Kealan Hunt replaced Rowe Coyle. After a rather tough play, Coolmannan's Brendanus MaCollin got a free kick in the 101st minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
