After 3 played minutes Tralee got a freekick which was hit by Blayne Robinson. A collision led to Clarina AFC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Bean Deery hit a great ball. 13 minutes into the match, Clarina AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Abbot Myler came free, but Bairee Dalton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Clarina AFC defense, Rowe Kirby kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bairee Dalton. The Clarina AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bairee Dalton should have stopped the shot. In the 24th minute, Lee Ramsey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rowe Kirby took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bairee Dalton. Clarina AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Tralee getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Abbot Myler hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Derry McDonald managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clarina AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Derry McDonald was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Blaire Byrne breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 42 minutes into the match, Tralee's Rowe Kirby sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bairee Dalton narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Clarina AFC booed when Tralee was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blayne Robinson didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Bairee Dalton was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Baird Jameson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 52 minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Tralee's goal looked a bit too open when Terence Coyle came free, but Blaire Byrne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Britain Morrison had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Blaire Byrne. Tralee's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Britain Morrison was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. The supporters of Clarina AFC booed when Tralee was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Triain Benson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Derry McDonald sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Blaire Byrne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Terence Coyle in the 74th minute of play. Suibhne McWilliam's late challenge caught a Tralee's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Suibhne McWilliam helped the player get up and apologised. 79 minutes into the game, one of Clarina AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 83rd minute, Abbot Myler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Rowe Kirby kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bairee Dalton. That made the score 2-4 in the 88 minute of play. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Baird Jameson took a quick shot and it went in 2-5 without a chance for Bairee Dalton to make any attempt to save it. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Tralee eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
