The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tralee's Blaire Byrne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Breed Hughes in the 5th minute of play. After 5 minutes, Breed Hughes made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Tralee's Blaire Byrne tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Braydon McFrank was a little too slow when Rowe Kirby got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 9th minute. The score was now 1-1. Braydon McFrank showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rowe Kirby in the 14th minute of the match. Healy Brennan was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 17 minutes into the match. After 18 played minutes Luska Utd got a freekick which was hit by Healy Brennan. 24 minutes into the game, Breed Hughes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Luska Utd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tralee the free kick. Luska Utd's Braydon McFrank proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Luska Utd from getting a goal against them. Luska Utd's Braydon McFrank played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rowe Kirby in the 35th minute of play. Baird Jameson succeeded in the game's 47th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

56 minutes into the match, Luska Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Rowe Kirby came free, but Braydon McFrank reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Triain Benson during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 61st minute, Rowe Kirby ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Braydon McFrank was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. In the 64th minute, Rowe Kirby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Blaire Byrne made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Bradaigh Beckett sent off a good shot on target. In the 69th match minute, Luska Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beamard McNamee to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute, Abbot Myler made a precise shot to the right of Braydon McFrank. Luska Utd's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. After some careless play in the Luska Utd defense, Rowe Kirby kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Braydon McFrank. The Luska Utd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Braydon McFrank should have stopped the shot. Braydon McFrank made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abbot Myler in the 80th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Rowe Kirby ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Braydon McFrank was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-1. In the 97th minute, Rowe Kirby got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
