Tierney McGlenn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Terence Coyle went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Bairne Hughes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Bairee Dalton made a huge save. After 37 minutes, Terence Coyle made it 3-2 with a short kick to the right side. Newtownbarry FC's Tierney McGlenn tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Terence Coyle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

Tierney McGlenn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Derry McDonald, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 56 minutes into the match, Clarina AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Bairne Hughes came free, but Bairee Dalton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Clarina AFC's Bairee Dalton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boyce Dalton in the 85th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Boyce Dalton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
