Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dewain Tracy kicked off to start the match. Comhghall McNamara's late challenge caught a Knocktemple FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Comhghall McNamara helped the player get up and apologised. Comhghall McNamara hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Cullan Prunty managed to get in a good position for a shot. Knocktemple FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cullan Prunty was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nollaig Benson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 12 minutes in the game Brannon Hutton did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Donall Cronin. 14 minutes into the match, Irishtown's goal looked a bit too open when Cullan Prunty came free, but Nollaig Benson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Comhghall McNamara in the 15th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Knocktemple FC's Cullan Prunty. Nollaig Benson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dewain Tracy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Artur Kelly charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Artur Kelly the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Irishtown:s Nollaig Benson showed great skill when he stopped Branigan Mullan:s penalty. Nollaig Benson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Branigan Mullan went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Irishtown's Donall Cronin got a free kick in the 29th minute. Cullan Prunty fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nollaig Benson having to interfere. After 32 played minutes Knocktemple FC got a freekick which was hit by Breannain Ramsey. Boyle McJohn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bivadas Matthews, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute, Cullan Prunty hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th match minute, Irishtown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Comhghall McNamara to maneuver through the defense.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Donall Cronin to strike the kick off in the second half. Boyle McJohn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bivadas Matthews, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Boyle McJohn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bivadas Matthews in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 66th minute of the game Brannon Hutton made a throw-in which Comhghall McNamara played forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bivadas Matthews in the 67th minute of play forced Knocktemple FC's goalkeeper Boyle McJohn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Knocktemple FC's Boyle McJohn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bivadas Matthews in the 67th minute of play. Irishtown's Nollaig Benson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Irishtown from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Irishtown's zone, Ciarán McCollion stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nollaig Benson came out of the goal and Ciarán McCollion tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Dewain Tracy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dewain Tracy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ciarán McCollion kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Irishtown's zone, Cullan Prunty stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nollaig Benson came out of the goal and Cullan Prunty tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Knocktemple FC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Duff Sheridan hit a great ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Knocktemple FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
