Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dermod McCready started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Coolmannan booed when Raleagh AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Briony Mulvihill didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bantry Prunty made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donegal Caffey in the 5th minute of play. Bantry Prunty showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dermod McCready in the 7th minute of the match. In the 11th minute, Brendanus MaCollin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bantry Prunty was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Rownun Murphy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eoghan Lavine in the 16th minute of play. Bantry Prunty made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tierney McJon in the 18th minute of play. After 19 played minutes Raleagh AFC got a freekick which was hit by Dennis McTom. The supporters of Coolmannan booed when Raleagh AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dennis McTom didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bel Taylor's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 25thth minute, Rownun Murphy skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Eoghan Lavine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Rownun Murphy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Eoghan Lavine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th match minute, Raleagh AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Taveon Caffey to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bel Taylor got free with Rownun Murphy in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The long shot by Dennis McTom in the 38th minute really tested Rownun Murphy's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 40th minute of the match, Bel Taylor got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rownun Murphy was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Bel Taylor blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rownun Murphy having to make a save. With a little luck, Coolmannan's Rownun Murphy got control of the ball when Bel Taylor tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bantry Prunty showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dermod McCready, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eoghan Lavine was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Raleagh AFC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Briony Mulvihill hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Raleagh AFC's zone, Donegal Caffey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bantry Prunty came out of the goal and Donegal Caffey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 54 minutes into the game, Coolmannan's Brendanus MaCollin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bantry Prunty made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 61 minutes into the match, Coolmannan's goal looked a bit too open when Raonall Lester came free, but Rownun Murphy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Bel Taylor came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Raleagh AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bel Taylor couldn't finish the play. Rownun Murphy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bel Taylor's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Tierney McJon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Bantry Prunty made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Bel Taylor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rownun Murphy was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. Coolmannan's Rownun Murphy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bel Taylor in the 92nd minute of play.
