Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Bell Colwell came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Shankill's Louie Morrison. But to his dismay, Louie Morrison quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The supporters of Attinkee booed when Shankill was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pearce Johnson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Shankill's Irwin McJohnny played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beatty Ramsey in the 23rd minute of play. In the 29th minute, Bras Willson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Basil McPaul fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Shankill's protests and gave Basil McPaul a yellow card for diving instead. After 32 played minutes Shankill got a freekick which was hit by Basil McPaul. Beatty Ramsey did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Irwin McJohnny 34 minutes into the match. Louie Morrison hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The long shot by Adamnan Robinson in the 45th minute really tested Irwin McJohnny's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Basil McPaul was shown his second yellow card after 58 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Basil McPaul hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Bras Willson charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bras Willson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Trevor Crowe hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Beatty Ramsey might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Irwin McJohnny. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Beatty Ramsey ran back to his position shaking his head. Samuel Benson kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match.
