Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Abbot Myler made the kick off which started today's match. When Baird Jameson fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tralee's protests and gave Baird Jameson a yellow card for diving instead. After 5 played minutes Tralee got a freekick which was hit by Baird Jameson. In the 5th minute of the match Branigan Mullan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Blaire Byrne skillfully saved the ball. Baird Jameson kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Blayne Robinson hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. 11 minutes in the game Blayne Robinson did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Logan Dimson. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Cullan Prunty managed to get in a good position for a shot. Knocktemple FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cullan Prunty was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Blaire Byrne breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Abbot Myler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Boyle McJohn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Branigan Mullan hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Duff Sheridan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Blaire Byrne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Dewain Tracy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Blayne Robinson's late challenge caught a Knocktemple FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Blayne Robinson helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Knocktemple FC booed when Tralee was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blayne Robinson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dewain Tracy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Cullan Prunty had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 57 minutes into the game, Blayne Robinson threw the ball into play from the sideline. Knocktemple FC's Dolan McBrandon quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Dewain Tracy might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Blaire Byrne. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dewain Tracy ran back to his position shaking his head. The throw-in from Blayne Robinson in the 65th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Knocktemple FC's Dolan McBrandon. In the 75th minute, Ciarán McCollion left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Knocktemple FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 79th minute of the game Blayne Robinson made a throw-in which Logan Dimson played forward. Knocktemple FC's Dolan McBrandon quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Blayne Robinson, made in the 85th minute of the game. Cullan Prunty blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Blaire Byrne having to make a save. 91 minutes into the game, Caimin McBrand was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tralee's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Knocktemple FC the free kick. In the 91st minute, Caimin McBrand hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Branigan Mullan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Knocktemple FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Branigan Mullan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Blaire Byrne breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match was over Knocktemple FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Tralee throughout the match.
