Tevin Prunty struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Rownun Murphy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Green Trees. If Ahmet Haşim Soyuer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.
The wind increased when Dermod McCready made the kick off in the second half. Bradigan Caffey kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Dennis Walker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dermod McCready in the 52nd minute of play. In the 57thth minute of the game Dermod McCready who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Green Trees's Dennis Walker was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Coolmannan's Rownun Murphy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Coolmannan from getting a goal against them. When Donegal Caffey fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Coolmannan's protests and gave Donegal Caffey a yellow card for diving instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ahmet Haşim Soyuer got free with Rownun Murphy in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
