Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Breed Hughes made the kick off and thus started the match. Braydon McFrank took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciarán McCready, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 6 played minutes Irishtown got a freekick which was hit by Donall Cronin. Braydon McFrank didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bivadas Matthews went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Irishtown's zone, Breed Hughes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nollaig Benson came out of the goal and Breed Hughes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Irishtown's Rowe Coyle got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 21st minute, Irishtown's Donall Cronin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Braydon McFrank. Braydon McFrank yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bivadas Matthews got free with Braydon McFrank in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 30 minutes into the match, Irishtown's goal looked a bit too open when Breed Hughes came free, but Nollaig Benson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Donall Cronin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Braydon McFrank came out and tried to block the shot, but Donall Cronin slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 34th minute. Nollaig McCollion charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nollaig McCollion the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Irishtown booed when Luska Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nollaig McCollion didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luska Utd's Braydon McFrank played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donall Cronin in the 43rd minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Bivadas Matthews had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Braydon McFrank. Luska Utd's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bivadas Matthews was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Donall Cronin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ciarán McCready took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Braydon McFrank. Braydon McFrank dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donall Cronin in the 61st minute of play forced Luska Utd's goalkeeper Braydon McFrank to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 64 minutes, Healy Brennan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Luska Utd and the Irishtown players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 64th match minute, Luska Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Healy Brennan to maneuver through the defense. Rownun Robinson hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. 67 minutes into the match, Irishtown's Donall Cronin broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Braydon McFrank showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donall Cronin, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Donall Cronin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Braydon McFrank having to interfere. The Irishtown fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Irishtown had won after a very even match.
