Bell Colwell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rowe Kirby in the 19th minute of play. Tralee's Blaire Byrne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiarnan McJohnny in the 23rd minute of play. Abbot Myler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bell Colwell was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Abbot Myler showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 29 minute of play. Samuel Benson hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Bell Colwell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rowe Kirby, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Rowe Kirby blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bell Colwell having to make a save. The crowd rose to their feet as Tralee's Rowe Kirby slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bell Colwell. That made the score 2-0 after 44 minutes of play. In the 48th minute, Bras Willson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Beatty Ramsey was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Tralee's Baird Jameson got a free kick in the 68th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Rowe Kirby managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tralee's supporters rose to their feet, but Rowe Kirby was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bell Colwell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bell Colwell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abbot Myler in the 77th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, Baird Jameson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bell Colwell. Attinkee's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Baird Jameson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 88th match minute, Tralee was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tormaigh McCready to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Tralee had won after a very even match.
