Bartley Dunne was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Daithi Doyle showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 20 minute of play. Bartley Dunne was a little too slow when Garrett McFrank got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 31st minute Seosamh Palmer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jack McAlphie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Breasal Gillmour fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bartley Dunne having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Ardlona's goalkeeper Bartley Dunne had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daithi Doyle. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Breasal Gillmour stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Seosamh Palmer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bartley Dunne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daithi Doyle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th minute, Garrett McFrank hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Seosamh Palmer in the 72ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jack McAlphie, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With his leg Jack McAlphie managed to avoid a goal in the 87thth minute, when Ardlona's Seosamh Palmer fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Garrett McFrank fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aspire Alligators Academy's protests and gave Garrett McFrank a yellow card for diving instead. In the 87th match minute, Aspire Alligators Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Garrett McFrank to maneuver through the defense.
