Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Binne Cassin got the match started through his kick off. When Ryleigh McFrank came up free with the goalie in the 2nd minute, the Doonsheane AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ryleigh McFrank couldn't finish the play. After 8 minutes, Desmond Dillon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sandyford and the Doonsheane AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 0-1 became the score in the 16th minute when Brenden McIan elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 18th match minute, Sandyford was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blian Jameson to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Doonsheane AFC's Rowe Doyle got control of the ball when Shiel Frankson tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Doonsheane AFC's Jeremiah Barrett got a free kick in the 27th minute. After a rather tough play, Sandyford's Bricin Dalton got a free kick in the 29th minute. Ryleigh McFrank fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bedilia McSteve having to interfere. When Desmond Dillon was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 35 minutes had been played. Desmond Dillon kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Ryleigh McFrank sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Doonsheane AFC's Ryleigh McFrank got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Brenden McIan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Brenden McIan was the one to do the kick off. After 51 minutes, Brenden McIan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Doonsheane AFC and the Sandyford players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Doonsheane AFC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Brenden McIan hit a great ball. Rowe Doyle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shiel Frankson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 56th minute Shiel Frankson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rowe Doyle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Finnigan Deans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Rowe Doyle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Beglan McJohnny kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Sandyford's Bedilia McSteve proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Sandyford from getting a goal against them. In the 70th minute, Shiel Frankson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rowe Doyle was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. 74 minutes into the match, Sandyford's goalkeeper Bedilia McSteve had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ryleigh McFrank. Sandyford's Bedilia McSteve played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brenden McIan in the 75th minute of play. Ryleigh McFrank fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bedilia McSteve having to interfere. After 84 played minutes Doonsheane AFC got a freekick which was hit by Bourns McJohnny. Bedilia McSteve made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brenden McIan in the 87th minute of play. Finnigan Deans blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rowe Doyle having to make a save. When Beccan McLaughlin fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Doonsheane AFC's protests and gave Beccan McLaughlin a yellow card for diving instead. Beccan McLaughlin kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Doonsheane AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sandyford.
