Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) In the 2nd minute, Seosamh Palmer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Honorato Quintyn hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. In the 6th minute, Domenico Cavallaro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Salthill Zárate fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Ardlona's Bartley Dunne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Torres in the 13th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Ardlona's goal looked a bit too open when Honorato Quintyn came free, but Bartley Dunne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Honorato Quintyn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 22ndth minute of the game Domenico Cavallaro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ardlona's Bartley Dunne was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Seosamh Palmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eamonn Ryan hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute Eamonn Ryan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emil Gondela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Ardlona getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Belock Doherty hit a great ball. Seosamh Palmer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 37 played minutes Salthill Zárate got a freekick which was hit by Honorato Quintyn. After 43 minutes, Eamonn Ryan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ardlona and the Salthill Zárate players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 43 played minutes Ardlona got a freekick which was hit by Eamonn Ryan. Bartley Dunne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Torres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bartley Dunne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Torres in the 47th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Samuel Torres was the one to do the kick off. Aban Barrett hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. When Domenico Cavallaro came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Salthill Zárate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Domenico Cavallaro couldn't finish the play. If Domenico Cavallaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 77 minutes into the match, Salthill Zárate's Domenico Cavallaro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bartley Dunne narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Domenico Cavallaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Bartley Dunne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 84 minutes, Seosamh Palmer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ardlona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Seosamh Palmer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Salthill Zárate's goalkeeper Emil Gondela, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Samuel Torres in the 90thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bartley Dunne, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Honorato Quintyn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bartley Dunne having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Seosamh Palmer in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emil Gondela prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
