Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Clontoe's Keely Martyn started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Clontoe's Bow McPhil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daithi Doyle in the 3rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Riley Costello during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás McDonald in the 17th minute of play forced Clontoe's goalkeeper Bow McPhil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bow McPhil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daithi Doyle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bow McPhil didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daithi Doyle went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 30th minute Daithi Doyle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bow McPhil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Breasal Gillmour in the 31st minute of play forced Clontoe's goalkeeper Bow McPhil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 32 played minutes Clontoe got a freekick which was hit by Bradley Callaghan. Bow McPhil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Breasal Gillmour in the 34th minute of play. Keely Martyn charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Keely Martyn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 36 played minutes Clontoe got a freekick which was hit by Keely Martyn. Clontoe's Bow McPhil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Breasal Gillmour in the 37th minute of play. In the 38th minute Garrett McFrank shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bow McPhil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bergin Gillmour kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. A collision led to Clontoe getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Barney Martyn hit a great ball. 44 minutes into the match, Daithi Doyle had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bow McPhil. Clontoe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daithi Doyle was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Breasal Gillmour to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Clontoe got a freekick which was hit by Bricin Gough. Bow McPhil was a little too slow when Breasal Gillmour got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 0-3. A hard shot by Bec McGlenn from long distance, 59 minutes into the match, got Bow McPhil's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The supporters of Clontoe booed when Aspire Alligators Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Breasal Gillmour didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Aspire Alligators Academy's Breasal Gillmour slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bow McPhil. That made the score 0-4 after 74 minutes of play. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Aspire Alligators Academy's goalkeeper Jack McAlphie, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 80 minutes into the match, Keely Martyn notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Aspire Alligators Academy's Jack McAlphie. Jack McAlphie was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 85th minute, Alan McFrank hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Clontoe defense, Breasal Gillmour kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bow McPhil. The Clontoe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bow McPhil should have stopped the shot. When the match was over Aspire Alligators Academy could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Clontoe throughout the match.
