Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Brenden McIan made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd match minute, Dowdallshill was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geralt Silke to maneuver through the defense. Ryleigh McFrank's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brett Mullan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Brett Mullan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brenden McIan in the 8th minute of the match. Brett Mullan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brenden McIan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ryleigh McFrank had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the match, Dowdallshill's goal looked a bit too open when Brenden McIan came free, but Brett Mullan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brenden McIan kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After 27 minutes of play, Dowdallshill's Brann Palmer made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rowe Doyle was left in no man's land by his defense there! Brenden McIan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Brett Mullan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Dowdallshill's Berrigan Doyle got a free kick in the 34th minute. Ryleigh McFrank recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Brett Mullan made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Ryleigh McFrank sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brenden McIan in the 43rd minute of play forced Dowdallshill's goalkeeper Brett Mullan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Doonsheane AFC booed when Dowdallshill was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flann Silke didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Brann Palmer was the one to do the kick off. Ryleigh McFrank might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brett Mullan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ryleigh McFrank ran back to his position shaking his head. 57 minutes into the match, Doonsheane AFC's goalkeeper Rowe Doyle had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brann Palmer. In the 62nd minute Brenden McIan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brett Mullan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brett Mullan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brenden McIan in the 64th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ryleigh McFrank in the 66th minute of play forced Dowdallshill's goalkeeper Brett Mullan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brett Mullan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ryleigh McFrank in the 67th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Brenden McIan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 76th minute Paudraig McAaron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rowe Doyle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brann Palmer hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Dowdallshill's zone, Brenden McIan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brett Mullan came out of the goal and Brenden McIan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brenden McIan struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Brett Mullan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Doonsheane AFC. After 89 played minutes Dowdallshill got a freekick which was hit by Blavock Hunt. In the 90th minute, a hard, long distance shot from Beccan McLaughlin hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. Brett Mullan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ryleigh McFrank, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. When Ryleigh McFrank came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Doonsheane AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ryleigh McFrank couldn't finish the play.
