Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Buach McJohnny kicked off to start the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bhrighde McJames in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pauric Coyle prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 9 played minutes Turkstown got a freekick which was hit by Brenainn Barrett. Binne Branson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brakawn McNamee, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 22 minutes into the match, Turkstown's Bhrighde McJames sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pauric Coyle narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 23 minutes into the game, Bhrighde McJames cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Pauric Coyle was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 28th minute, Bhrighde McJames got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bard Crowe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Binne Branson having to make a save. In the 34th minute, Turkstown's Brenainn Barrett seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Brenainn Barrett the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Turkstown protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Brenainn Barrett had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Turkstown's Binne Branson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Turkstown from getting a goal against them.

The wind increased when Brakawn McNamee made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brakawn McNamee in the 51st minute of play forced Turkstown's goalkeeper Binne Branson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Scott McGlenn took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Binne Branson. Binne Branson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Binne Branson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bard Crowe in the 57th minute of the match. After 59 minutes, Bresal Willson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Turkstown and the Dundalk players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Turkstown's Bresal Willson got a free kick in the 59th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Turkstown's goal looked a bit too open when Beolagh McFrank came free, but Binne Branson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bhrighde McJames struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Pauric Coyle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Turkstown. In the 75th minute, Damian Kelly hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Turkstown's attentive Denny McFrank managed to snatch the ball when Loughlin McLian made a throw-in in the 77th minute of the game. Binne Branson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Scott McGlenn in the 79th minute of the match. Binne Branson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beolagh McFrank in the 81st minute of play. Binne Branson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bard Crowe, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Binne Branson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brakawn McNamee, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 89th minute Bard Crowe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Binne Branson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Bhrighde McJames had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Binne Branson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Brakawn McNamee went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Dundalk's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
