Seating: 1840, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Balor McWillie started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Killanly's Balor McWillie sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bairrionn Callaghan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Balor McWillie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bairrionn Callaghan having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Louis McIan in the 9th minute of play forced Killanly's goalkeeper Gordan Coyle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Balor McWillie in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bairrionn Callaghan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Killanly's Balor McWillie got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bairrionn Callaghan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Balor McWillie in the 19th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Balor McWillie in the 21st minute of play forced Rusheens's goalkeeper Bairrionn Callaghan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gordan Coyle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donegan McCollion, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Killanly's Rian Dillon got a free kick in the 33rd minute. After 37 played minutes Rusheens got a freekick which was hit by Joshua Costello. After recieving a nice pass, Killanly's Brayden Dimson tried to score from far away in the 38th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 43 played minutes Killanly got a freekick which was hit by Rowen Brennan. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Louis McIan was the one to do the kick off. Louis McIan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Donegan McCollion sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Louis McIan hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. After 61 played minutes Killanly got a freekick which was hit by Petran Rogers. After a defensive mix-up in Killanly's zone, Trevor Benson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gordan Coyle came out of the goal and Trevor Benson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Balor McWillie during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rusheens's Bairrionn Callaghan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Rusheens from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Louis McIan in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gordan Coyle saved Killanly from getting behind. In the 84th match minute, Rusheens was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ennis McLiam to maneuver through the defense. Killanly's Balor McWillie got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 95th minute Louis McIan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gordan Coyle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
