George Cooney charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed George Cooney the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 8th minute, George Cooney hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 9th minute, Donan Lester got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 10 played minutes Rusheens got a freekick which was hit by Beagan McMichel. Aaron Glen Crowe took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 11th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bairrionn Callaghan. Rusheens's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Thurl Costello cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Bairrionn Callaghan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Louis McIan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Duff Bayes might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bairrionn Callaghan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Duff Bayes ran back to his position shaking his head. Louis McIan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Tierney Kirby made a huge save. Bairrionn Callaghan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torey Frankson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bairrionn Callaghan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Thurl Costello went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Rusheens's Ennis McLiam got a free kick in the 37th minute. Torey Frankson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 42 minutes of play, Kilmacar's Torey Frankson made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bairrionn Callaghan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rusheens's Bairrionn Callaghan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duff Bayes in the 46th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Trevor Benson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kilmacar's Donan Lester got a good chance for a goal in the 49th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Louis McIan to strike the kick off in the second half. Bairrionn Callaghan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thurl Costello in the 58th minute. The supporters of Kilmacar booed when Rusheens was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donegan McCollion didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Kilmacar's Bairrionn Callaghan threw himself towards the right post 64 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Thurl Costello, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 65 minutes into the game, Beagan McMichel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rusheens's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kilmacar the free kick. Beagan McMichel hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Rusheens's Bairrionn Callaghan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donan Lester in the 66th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Torey Frankson got free with Bairrionn Callaghan in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rusheens's defense didn't have a chance, in the 69th minute, when Thurl Costello scored to the left of an out of position Bairrionn Callaghan, making the score, 0-4. 74 minutes into the match, Rusheens's goalkeeper Bairrionn Callaghan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Torey Frankson. Thurl Costello's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 84thth minute, Bairrionn Callaghan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duff Bayes in the 86th minute of play forced Rusheens's goalkeeper Bairrionn Callaghan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bairrionn Callaghan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thurl Costello in the 90th minute. George Cooney hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Bairrionn Callaghan was out of position in the 94 minute of play, and Duff Bayes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Duff Bayes really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5.
