Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sameer Gollogley took the kick off in the first half of the match. Sameer Gollogley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Bartel Crowe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Keelin McWilliam kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. In the 13th minute, Ennis Tracy made a precise shot to the right of Flann Byrne. Drumdowney's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. A collision led to Ballyguin getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Brain Cronin hit a great ball. Sameer Gollogley blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bartel Crowe having to make a save. Boethis Dalton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bartel Crowe having to interfere. The supporters of Drumdowney booed when Ballyguin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reidy McVictor didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ricard Scully had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the match, Ballyguin's goalkeeper Bartel Crowe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sameer Gollogley. 31 minutes into the match, Ricard Scully dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bartel Crowe, 1-1. Ricard Scully fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bartel Crowe having to interfere. When Keelin McWilliam fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Drumdowney's protests and gave Keelin McWilliam a yellow card for diving instead. Keelin McWilliam hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. After having played for 38 minutes, Ennis Tracy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ballyguin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ennis Tracy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sameer Gollogley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bartel Crowe having to interfere. Tory Ryan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ennis Tracy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Sameer Gollogley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricard Scully fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bartel Crowe having to interfere. Sameer Gollogley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ballyguin fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 71st minute. Penalty! When Tomás Kelly fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ballyguin's protests and gave Tomás Kelly a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Ballyguin's Tomás Kelly got a free kick in the 79th minute. Ballyguin's Bartel Crowe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricard Scully in the 80th minute of play. Ricard Scully struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Bartel Crowe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Drumdowney. In the 91st minute, Terence McTommy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Blathma McDecland's late challenge caught a Drumdowney's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Blathma McDecland helped the player get up and apologised. In the 94th match minute, Ballyguin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blathma McDecland to maneuver through the defense. Ricard Scully sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
