Blamhac McGlynn made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Balor Glen Crowe sent off a good shot on target. 6 minutes into the match, Corbaly's goal looked a bit too open when Comhghall McJohnny came free, but Bresal Dempsey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bresal Dempsey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jack Gollogley, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After a rather tough play, Durrus's Cathal McJohnny got a free kick in the 14th minute. A hard shot by Boland Cassin from long distance, 15 minutes into the match, got Blamhac McGlynn's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Durrus's Blamhac McGlynn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Durrus from getting a goal against them. 20 minutes into the match, Corbaly's goal looked a bit too open when Jack Gollogley came free, but Bresal Dempsey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute Cacey Gillmour shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bresal Dempsey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Corbaly's Colm Glen Crowe got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 25 minutes into the match, Durrus's goalkeeper Blamhac McGlynn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Balor Glen Crowe. Keely Scully recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 30th minute Balor Glen Crowe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blamhac McGlynn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Buach Lester hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. 34 minutes into the game, Balor Glen Crowe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Corbaly's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Durrus the free kick. After 35 played minutes Corbaly got a freekick which was hit by Balor Glen Crowe. Balor Glen Crowe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Blamhac McGlynn made a huge save. A throw-in in the 43rd minute of the game was made by Cleary McJohn with Louie Keegan as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 44 minutes into the match, Durrus's goal looked a bit too open when Balor Glen Crowe came free, but Blamhac McGlynn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Blamhac McGlynn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Balor Glen Crowe in the 47th minute. After a rather tough play, Durrus's Buach Lester got a free kick in the 48th minute. Balor Glen Crowe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 50th minute. Blamhac McGlynn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Cacey Gillmour made the kick off in the second half. 60 minutes into the match, Durrus's goal looked a bit too open when Balor Glen Crowe came free, but Blamhac McGlynn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Corbaly booed when Durrus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cathal McJohnny didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th minute of the match Boland Cassin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Blamhac McGlynn skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Durrus getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Jack Gollogley hit a great ball. After 80 minutes, Terry McNamee mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Corbaly and the Durrus players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 83rd minute, Cleary McJohn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bresal Dempsey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cacey Gillmour in the 93rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Balor Glen Crowe in the 94th minute of play forced Durrus's goalkeeper Blamhac McGlynn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Cacey Gillmour had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Corbaly manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Durrus to win.
