In the 22nd minute Ricard Scully shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blathmac Ferguson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ricard Scully had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benmore's Blathmac Ferguson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricard Scully in the 29th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Tory Ryan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blathmac Ferguson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ricard Scully received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Blathmac Ferguson came out and tried to block the shot, but Ricard Scully slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 36th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Sameer Gollogley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blathmac Ferguson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tory Ryan's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Benmore's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. 67 minutes into the match, Tory Ryan notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Benmore's Blathmac Ferguson. Blathmac Ferguson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 70th minute Ricard Scully shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blathmac Ferguson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Benmore fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 85th minute. Penalty! When the referee ended the match the Drumdowney players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
