Shanboe's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 13 minutes into the match, Portleen FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rollin Ferguson came free, but Colmcille Frankson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Rollin Ferguson took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Colmcille Frankson to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Shanboe's Rollin Ferguson got a free kick in the 17th minute. Kain Hughes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brennon McIan in the 18th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute, Austin Cassin made a precise shot to the right of Colmcille Frankson. Portleen FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Portleen FC's Colmcille Frankson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Austin Cassin in the 26th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Rollin Ferguson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kain Hughes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pearse Beckett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kain Hughes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bevin Todd in the 31st minute of play. Colmcille Frankson was out of position in the 35 minute of play, and Tyrone Taylor capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tyrone Taylor really showed his touch with that goal: 3-2. 38 minutes into the match, Portleen FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rollin Ferguson came free, but Colmcille Frankson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tyrone Taylor in the 41st minute of play forced Portleen FC's goalkeeper Colmcille Frankson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute Coileán McLiam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kain Hughes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 48 minutes into the game, Shanboe's Austin Cassin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Colmcille Frankson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Brennon McIan to strike the kick off in the second half. Portleen FC's Colmcille Frankson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Austin Cassin in the 53rd minute of play. After 55 played minutes Portleen FC got a freekick which was hit by Coileán McLiam. 57 minutes into the game, Rollin Ferguson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Shanboe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Portleen FC the free kick. After 57 played minutes Shanboe got a freekick which was hit by Rollin Ferguson. Pearse Beckett blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kain Hughes having to make a save. In the 82nd minute, Portleen FC's Brennon McIan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-3. The throw-in from Beary Barrett in the 85th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Shanboe's Brendann Dillon. In the 87th match minute, Shanboe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dane Mullan to maneuver through the defense. Kain Hughes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brennon McIan in the 88th minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, Portleen FC's goal looked a bit too open when Austin Cassin came free, but Colmcille Frankson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute Brakawn Cassin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Colmcille Frankson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Shanboe fans cheered their team off the field, for while Portleen FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
