An unexpectedly hard shot by Paudraig McPhilip in the 4th minute of play forced Celbridge FC's goalkeeper Caimin McMichel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the game, Quinsborough Utd's Paudraig McPhilip nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Caimin McMichel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Boyle McBrandon hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Celbridge FC's Boyle McBrandon got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 17th minute of the match Austin Crowe shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Caimin McMichel showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Celbridge FC's Caimin McMichel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paudraig McPhilip in the 19th minute of play. Quinsborough Utd's Finbar Holt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Quinsborough Utd from getting a goal against them. Justin Matthews hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Finbar Holt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Boyle McBrandon went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paudraig McPhilip in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Caimin McMichel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joseph McPhil kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Rownun Hunt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Finbar Holt made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Paudraig McPhilip's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Caimin McMichel was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. With an all-out effort, Celbridge FC's Finbar Holt threw himself towards the right post 42 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Pawd Frankson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 47 minutes into the match, Quinsborough Utd's goalkeeper Finbar Holt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rownun Hunt. The Celbridge FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Quinsborough Utd were winning 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paudraig McPhilip made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Quinsborough Utd were awarded a corner. Austin Crowe went to the cornerflag to take it. Austin Crowe made a great header on Quinsborough Utd's corner, it was just that Celbridge FC's Caimin McMichel managed to reach the ball for a save. Pawd Frankson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Finbar Holt having to interfere. Finbar Holt came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Celbridge FC's Rownun Hunt. But to his dismay, Rownun Hunt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Toran McBrand kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Finbar Holt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rownun Hunt, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Harley McTom kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pawd Frankson in the 64th minute of play forced Quinsborough Utd's goalkeeper Finbar Holt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 69 minutes, Caimin McMichel successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Austin Crowe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes into the game, Austin Crowe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Quinsborough Utd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Celbridge FC the free kick. Austin Crowe hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. 75 minutes into the match, Quinsborough Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Pawd Frankson came free, but Finbar Holt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th match minute, Quinsborough Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rowan Todd to maneuver through the defense. Dermot Hamilton kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 86th minute Pawd Frankson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Finbar Holt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Finbar Holt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rownun Hunt, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Finbar Holt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pawd Frankson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
