Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Celbridge FC's Pawd Frankson started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Portleen FC's attack was well implemented in the 4th minute, but when Brennon McIan was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Colmcille Frankson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Braon Quinnless in the 7th minute of play. Braon Quinnless hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. 12 minutes into the game, Ravan Branson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Celbridge FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Portleen FC the free kick. After 12 played minutes Celbridge FC got a freekick which was hit by Ravan Branson. Pearse Beckett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Caimin McMichel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Portleen FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pawd Frankson came free, but Colmcille Frankson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Rownun Hunt could shoot a difficult shot in the 19th minute, which Colmcille Frankson however easily saved by the left post. In the 19th match minute, Portleen FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bevin Todd to maneuver through the defense. Colmcille Frankson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Boyle McBrandon in the 21st minute. After 25 played minutes Celbridge FC got a freekick which was hit by Rownun Hunt. Colmcille Frankson made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Rownun Hunt sent off a good shot on target. After 32 minutes, Harkin McNamee mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Celbridge FC and the Portleen FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Harkin McNamee hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Coileán McLiam might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Caimin McMichel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Coileán McLiam ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Celbridge FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Ravan Branson hit a great ball. In the 43rdth minute of the game Brennon McIan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Celbridge FC's Caimin McMichel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Brennon McIan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The wind increased when Brennon McIan made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Portleen FC's Coileán McLiam slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Caimin McMichel. That made the score 0-1 after 54 minutes of play. In the 60th minute Pawd Frankson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Colmcille Frankson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brennon McIan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Caimin McMichel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 70 minutes of play, Portleen FC's Brennon McIan made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Caimin McMichel was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Portleen FC's Brennon McIan in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Celbridge FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 78th minute Rownun Hunt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Colmcille Frankson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute, Boyle McBrandon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Portleen FC defense, Pawd Frankson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Colmcille Frankson. The Portleen FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Colmcille Frankson should have stopped the shot.
