In the 3rd match minute, Cornamona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cullan McAlphie to maneuver through the defense. If Donncha McCollion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donncha McCollion could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Riley McWilliam made a huge save. Comhghall Quinnless showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danann Frankson, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Cornamona's goal looked a bit too open when Timothy Rutherford came free, but Comhghall Quinnless reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Danann Frankson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Riley McWilliam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donncha McCollion, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Comhghall Quinnless took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denny McLiam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Donncha McCollion received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Riley McWilliam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

58 minutes into the game, Dublinworthy United FC's Denny McLiam nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Comhghall Quinnless made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Comhghall Quinnless made an important save on a dangerous shot by Timothy Rutherford in the 64th minute. Donncha McCollion sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rooney Lavine hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. A collision led to Cornamona getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Beothach McJames hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Donncha McCollion in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Riley McWilliam prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Riley McWilliam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donncha McCollion in the 91st minute of play. Danann Frankson charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Danann Frankson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The Cornamona fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Dublinworthy United FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
