Spectators: 8573 (Terracing: 6431, Seating: 1971, VIP seats: 171) In the 5thth minute of the game Bernard McAaron who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Flughany's Bohannon Horgan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Carrigane booed when Flughany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herich Lester didn't get a good kick on the ball. Breffni Barrett recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Flughany's zone, Sander Lell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bohannon Horgan came out of the goal and Sander Lell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Breenan Caffey's late challenge caught a Carrigane's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Breenan Caffey helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Flughany's Breenan Caffey got a free kick in the 12th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Flughany's goal looked a bit too open when Bernard McAaron came free, but Bohannon Horgan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Carrigane's Sander Lell in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Flughany's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Flughany's Blaine Gallagher got a free kick in the 17th minute. Bohannon Horgan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Breffni Barrett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bohannon Horgan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Breffni Barrett in the 19th minute of the match. Bohannon Horgan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernard McAaron, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Sander Lell put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Bohannon Horgan. Breffni Barrett could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Bohannon Horgan made a huge save. Flughany's Bohannon Horgan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Flughany from getting a goal against them. In the 33rd minute, Breffni Barrett made a precise shot to the right of Bohannon Horgan. Flughany's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sander Lell in the 35th minute of play forced Flughany's goalkeeper Bohannon Horgan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Obielumani Kowalski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bohannon Horgan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sander Lell, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Breffni Barrett made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Breffni Barrett in the 53rd minute of play forced Flughany's goalkeeper Bohannon Horgan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Herich Lester sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Theodore McCollion hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute, Theodore McCollion hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st minute, Breffni Barrett made a precise shot to the right of Bohannon Horgan. Flughany's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Flughany's Bohannon Horgan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Breffni Barrett in the 69th minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, Flughany's goal looked a bit too open when Breffni Barrett came free, but Bohannon Horgan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Seosamh Willson kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. In the 75th minute Breffni Barrett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bohannon Horgan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carrigane's Henry Silke got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Breffni Barrett in the 80th minute of play forced Flughany's goalkeeper Bohannon Horgan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the game, Blaine Gallagher was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Flughany's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carrigane the free kick. In the 81st match minute, Flughany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blaine Gallagher to maneuver through the defense. Bohannon Horgan came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Carrigane's Bernard McAaron. But to his dismay, Bernard McAaron quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. After having played for 86 minutes, Bernard McAaron managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carrigane's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernard McAaron was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Yadi Tanamal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Seosamh Willson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Flughany's Bohannon Horgan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Breffni Barrett in the 89th minute of play. Breffni Barrett took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bohannon Horgan. Bohannon Horgan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. Flughany's Bohannon Horgan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernard McAaron in the 95th minute of play. Bohannon Horgan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernard McAaron in the 97th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Carrigane players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
