When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cianán Perth made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Payton Martyn was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cloonaquin's Harley Silke quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Begg Dimson's late challenge caught a Carnaghan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Begg Dimson helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Carnaghan booed when Cloonaquin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Begg Dimson didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Harley McDonald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Cianán Perth managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cloonaquin's supporters rose to their feet, but Cianán Perth was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Beiti McTommy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Brannan McSteven charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Brannan McSteven the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cloonaquin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cianán Perth was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bradain McCready made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harley McDonald in the 91st minute of play. Cianán Perth got in the 92nd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Beiti McTommy handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. When the referee ended the match the Carnaghan players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
