Jack Harkin came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Flughany's Seosamh Willson. But to his dismay, Seosamh Willson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. One of Ballyneen FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Flughany:s goal. When the match had been going on for 28 minutes, Flughany's Herich Lester got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jack Harkin. Bohannon Horgan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Todd in the 34th minute of the match. Dillon McGlynn kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 44th minute, Herich Lester got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bohannon Horgan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Todd in the 46th minute of the match. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Seosamh Willson to make the kick off. After 57 minutes of play, Ballyneen FC's Alex Todd made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bohannon Horgan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Brendon McNamee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Seosamh Willson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jack Harkin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Blaine Gallagher charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Blaine Gallagher the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Ballyneen FC booed when Flughany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blaine Gallagher didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Ballyneen FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jack Harkin should have stopped the shot. Bearnad Ferguson kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. When the match was over Ballyneen FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Flughany throughout the match.
