Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cianán Perth kicked off to start the match. Abban Colwell succeeded in the game's 5th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. A collision led to Cait Dubh Athy getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Abban Colwell hit a great ball. Cianán Perth's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ionel Rogozea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Cloonaquin's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Pauric McTom in the 21st minute. In the 23rd match minute, Cloonaquin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pauric McTom to maneuver through the defense. Cloonaquin's Coileán McNamee got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Abban Colwell scored 0-4 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bradain McCready, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 33rd minute, Brannan McSteven hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abban Colwell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bradain McCready having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Cait Dubh Athy's Tevis Willson got a free kick in the 36th minute. Pauric McTom charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pauric McTom the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bradain McCready made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tevis Willson in the 42nd minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Tevis Willson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bradain McCready. Cloonaquin's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tevis Willson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. After the first half Cait Dubh Athy were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abban Colwell made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Albano Mitxel during the 50th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After recieving a nice pass, Cloonaquin's Pauric McTom tried to score from far away in the 51st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Abban Colwell took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Bradain McCready to make any attempt to save it. After 58 played minutes Cloonaquin got a freekick which was hit by Pauric McTom. 62 minutes in the game Brannan McSteven did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Leon McGlynn. Tevis Willson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bradain McCready having to interfere. In the 79th play minute Finn McOliver came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Bradain McCready. 0-7. Cait Dubh Athy's Conor McVictor was substituted for Ennis Benson. 84 minutes into the match, Cait Dubh Athy's Tevis Willson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bradain McCready narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cianán Perth struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Ionel Rogozea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cloonaquin. Cloonaquin were furious when Harvey Todd was red carded, 90 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 89 minutes into the game, one of Cloonaquin:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Tevis Willson shot the penalty kick right outside the post. After 94 minutes, Payton Martyn mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cloonaquin and the Cait Dubh Athy players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Cloonaquin getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Payton Martyn hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Cait Dubh Athy's zone, Payton Martyn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ionel Rogozea came out of the goal and Payton Martyn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
