After 17 played minutes WEDKARZE got a freekick which was hit by Dewain Dempsey. Thurl Cronin hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Richey van der Eycken took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 19th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Earnán Savic. Clooncoose's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 22 minutes in the game Benjamin Holt did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Breccan Savic. WEDKARZE's Radomil Grondzki got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 26 played minutes Clooncoose got a freekick which was hit by Carson McJohnny. Earnán Savic took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richey van der Eycken, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andrew McBrandon got free with Patrick McPhil in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 33rd minute, Andrew McBrandon made a precise shot to the right of Patrick McPhil. WEDKARZE's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. WEDKARZE's Patrick McPhil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrew McBrandon in the 37th minute of play. In the 39th match minute, Clooncoose was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donavan Harkin to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to WEDKARZE getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Klaas Van den Panhuyzen hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Andrew McBrandon to strike the kick off in the second half. Klaas Van den Panhuyzen's late challenge caught a Clooncoose's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Klaas Van den Panhuyzen helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of WEDKARZE booed when Clooncoose was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Irwin Tracy didn't get a good kick on the ball.
