Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ardán Kirby recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Blake Taylor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Philib McStephen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 11 minutes into the match, Derryfrench's goalkeeper Blake Taylor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ardán Kirby. In the 11th minute, Bearach Duggan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute Brogan Myler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Comhghall Sheridan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Blake Taylor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Philib McStephen, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Ballysheedy's Comhghall Sheridan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Keegan Silke in the 23rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Derryfrench defense, Ardán Kirby kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Blake Taylor. The Derryfrench fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Blake Taylor should have stopped the shot. 29 minutes into the match, Ballysheedy's goal looked a bit too open when Brogan Myler came free, but Comhghall Sheridan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Ballysheedy booed when Derryfrench was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donavan Dillon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Comhghall Sheridan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brogan Myler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ballysheedy's Comhghall Sheridan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brogan Myler in the 37th minute of play. Bresal McFrank charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bresal McFrank the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Ballysheedy getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Bresal McFrank hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Philib McStephen in the 41st minute of play forced Derryfrench's goalkeeper Blake Taylor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Kerrigan McIan fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ballysheedy's protests and gave Kerrigan McIan a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Ballysheedy's Kerrigan McIan got a free kick in the 42nd minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Brogan Myler stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ballysheedy's Comhghall Sheridan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bearach Duggan in the 53rd minute of play. Derryfrench's Blake Taylor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ardán Kirby in the 61st minute of play. 64 minutes into the game, Trien Gillmour was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Derryfrench's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ballysheedy the free kick.
