But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrew McBrandon couldn't finish the play. Teris Mullan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrew McBrandon in the 43rd minute of play. Andrew McBrandon might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Teris Mullan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andrew McBrandon ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 46th minute, Harrington Dillon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Drimmo's Harrington Dillon got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Andrew McBrandon to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Harrington Dillon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Drimmo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After 62 minutes, Harrington Dillon made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Clooncoose's Earnán Savic tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Teris Mullan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrew McBrandon, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Dawayne McLiam got his second yellow card in the match during the 69th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Drimmo booed when Clooncoose was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dawayne McLiam didn't get a good kick on the ball. Clooncoose's attentive Carson McJohnny managed to snatch the ball when Roland McBjarton made a throw-in in the 72nd minute of the game. The supporters of Clooncoose booed when Drimmo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roland McBjarton didn't get a good kick on the ball. 85 minutes into the game, Harrington Dillon recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Earnán Savic. Harrington Dillon showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Drimmo had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
