Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Shannon Dalton took the kick off in the first half of the match. Buach Palmer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Philib McStephen in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th minute Bresal McFrank shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Buach Palmer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ballysheedy's Roy Kelly got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute, Harvey McPaul sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ballysheedy's Comhghall Sheridan didn't even have to move. A collision led to Ballysheedy getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Roy Kelly hit a great ball. 14 minutes into the game, Lagacurry's Harvey McPaul nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Comhghall Sheridan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The attack was good, but when Desmond McJohnny in the 17th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Ballysheedy's Comhghall Sheridan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edwin Murphy in the 23rd minute of play. Comhghall Sheridan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edwin Murphy, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 27thth minute of the game Philib McStephen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lagacurry's Buach Palmer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bearnad Myler kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Ballysheedy's Coinneach Lavine got a free kick in the 33rd minute. After recieving a nice pass, Lagacurry's Harvey McPaul tried to score from far away in the 34th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Buach Palmer was out of position in the 37 minute of play, and Philib McStephen capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Philib McStephen really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Bresal McFrank sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bearnad Myler hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Buach Palmer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bresal McFrank, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Philib McStephen was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes Ballysheedy got a freekick which was hit by Kerrigan McIan. In the 61st minute, Duff MaCollin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Philib McStephen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Buach Palmer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Ballysheedy booed when Lagacurry was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edwin Murphy didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Ballysheedy getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Davie Brennan hit a great ball. After 74th play minutes Edwin Murphy shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Comhghall Sheridan and just under the crossbar into goal. 79 minutes into the match, Ballysheedy's goal looked a bit too open when Edwin Murphy came free, but Comhghall Sheridan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Farrell McCready's late challenge caught a Ballysheedy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Farrell McCready helped the player get up and apologised. Comhghall Sheridan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edwin Murphy, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Shannon Dalton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Comhghall Sheridan made a huge save. Lagacurry's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
