Triain McIan's late challenge caught a Clooncoose's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Triain McIan helped the player get up and apologised. Triain McIan hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After 30 played minutes Clooncoose got a freekick which was hit by Breccan Savic. In the 33rd minute, Andrew McBrandon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Reilly McSteven was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Earnán Savic showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adamnan Crowe, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 38 minutes, Reilly McSteven successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Earnán Savic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bairne Todd in the 42nd minute of the match. 47 minutes into the match, Bairne Todd notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Clooncoose's Earnán Savic. Earnán Savic was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
