With a little luck, Ballysheedy's Comhghall Sheridan got control of the ball when Alfred McDecland tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ballysheedy's Bresal McFrank got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ardán Kirby in the 10th minute of play forced Curhownagh's goalkeeper Berach Morrison to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th match minute, Curhownagh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renny Tierney to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaine Walker in the 13th minute of play forced Curhownagh's goalkeeper Berach Morrison to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Berach Morrison didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ardán Kirby went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 19th match minute, Ballysheedy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ardán Kirby to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Comhghall Sheridan managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when Curhownagh's Alfred McDecland fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Brenainn Martyn received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Comhghall Sheridan came out and tried to block the shot, but Brenainn Martyn slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 23rd minute. Philib McStephen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Curhownagh booed when Ballysheedy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bresal McFrank didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute Brenainn Martyn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Comhghall Sheridan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Kerrigan McIan fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ballysheedy's protests and gave Kerrigan McIan a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Ballysheedy getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Kerrigan McIan hit a great ball. A hard shot 35 in the game by Alfred McDecland from a close distance when the talented Comhghall Sheridan managed to make a qualified save. Ballysheedy's players were relieved. The crowd rose to their feet as Brenan Myler kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Comhghall Sheridan. That made the score 3-1 in the 37 minute of play. In the 41st match minute, Ballysheedy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Coinneach Lavine to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Comhghall Sheridan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfred McDecland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ballysheedy's Comhghall Sheridan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brenan Myler in the 52nd minute of play. After having played for 54 minutes, Ardán Kirby managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ballysheedy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ardán Kirby was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brenan Myler in the 57th minute of play forced Ballysheedy's goalkeeper Comhghall Sheridan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute Blathma McSteve shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Comhghall Sheridan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Ballysheedy defense, Blathma McSteve kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Comhghall Sheridan. The Ballysheedy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Comhghall Sheridan should have stopped the shot. 70 minutes into the game, Brenan Myler cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Comhghall Sheridan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 74th minute, Brenan Myler made a precise shot to the right of Comhghall Sheridan. Ballysheedy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. Comhghall Sheridan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Blathma McSteve in the 78th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, Ballysheedy's goal looked a bit too open when Brenainn Martyn came free, but Comhghall Sheridan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brenan Myler in the 82nd minute of play forced Ballysheedy's goalkeeper Comhghall Sheridan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Ballysheedy's goal looked a bit too open when Brenainn Martyn came free, but Comhghall Sheridan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Comhghall Sheridan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brenan Myler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Comhghall Sheridan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brenainn Martyn, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Curhownagh had won after a very even match.
