In a very dangerous position, a player in Caher fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 16th minute. Penalty! In the 17th minute there was a penalty for Lagacurry. Harvey McPaul stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Reilly McSteven. 0-1. After 20 played minutes Lagacurry got a freekick which was hit by Shannon Dalton. The supporters of Caher booed when Lagacurry was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bearnad Myler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reilly McSteven showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shannon Dalton, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Caher's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bairne Todd was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adamnan Crowe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adamnan Crowe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Reilly McSteven made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edwin Murphy in the 59th minute of play. Lagacurry's Bradagain McCollion got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Reilly McSteven showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edwin Murphy in the 66th minute of the match. After 68 played minutes Caher got a freekick which was hit by Kieran Dalton. Aron Ryan was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 70 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Harvey McPaul got free with Reilly McSteven in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 73rd minute, Adamnan Crowe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 75 minutes, Lewy Delaney mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caher and the Lagacurry players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Lagacurry booed when Caher was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lewy Delaney didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lagacurry's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
