Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Harrington Dillon made the kick off which started today's match. When Harrington Dillon came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Drimmo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harrington Dillon couldn't finish the play. Bradagain McCollion struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Teris Mullan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lagacurry. Buach Palmer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Harrington Dillon's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. In the 10th minute, Scot Moran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teris Mullan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Desmond McJohnny in the 16th minute of the match. After 17 minutes, Desmond McJohnny made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Drimmo's Teris Mullan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Harrington Dillon received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Buach Palmer came out and tried to block the shot, but Harrington Dillon slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 20th minute. Birr Myler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Buach Palmer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Harrington Dillon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Buach Palmer was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Harrigan Caffrey kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After having played for 35 minutes, Harvey McPaul managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lagacurry's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harvey McPaul was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Harley McDecland charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Harley McDecland the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Harley McDecland kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Teris Mullan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Desmond McJohnny went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. The Drimmo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Lagacurry were winning 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Shannon Dalton stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Desmond McJohnny was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lagacurry's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Drimmo the free kick. The supporters of Drimmo booed when Lagacurry was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Desmond McJohnny didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Harrington Dillon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Drimmo's supporters rose to their feet, but Harrington Dillon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Buach Palmer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Teris Mullan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edwin Murphy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Harrington Dillon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Drimmo's supporters rose to their feet, but Harrington Dillon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Buach Palmer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 67th minute, Bradagain McCollion hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72nd minute Bradagain McCollion shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teris Mullan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Drimmo's Teris Mullan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Drimmo from getting a goal against them. Teris Mullan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Desmond McJohnny in the 89th minute. 92 minutes into the match, Drimmo's goalkeeper Teris Mullan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Desmond McJohnny. Teris Mullan was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and Desmond McJohnny capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Desmond McJohnny really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. When the match was over Lagacurry could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Drimmo throughout the match.
