An unexpectedly hard shot by Boyd Benson in the 16th minute of play forced Milan Fighters's goalkeeper Bar Dempsey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bar Dempsey came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Caherlea FC's Boyd Benson. But to his dismay, Boyd Benson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Caherlea FC's Lou McJohnny played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gearroid McJon in the 20th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Espen Fjederholt during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Espen Fjederholt kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. The corner ended in Espen Fjederholt almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Caherlea FC's Lou McJohnny did a great save. In the 32nd minute Toran Branson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bar Dempsey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jack Cooney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 47 played minutes Milan Fighters got a freekick which was hit by Thanasis Perdikoglou. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gearroid McJon to make the kick off. A collision led to Milan Fighters getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Prokopis Kounenakis hit a great ball. Bar Dempsey made an important save on a dangerous shot by Toran Branson in the 54th minute. Lou McJohnny made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Espen Fjederholt in the 58th minute of play. Milan Fighters's Gearroid McJon got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lou McJohnny was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
