Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Knockanare's Beairtle Gollogley started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Beairtle Gollogley left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Knockanare fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Barde Callaghan hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the match, Becc McAaron had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Berkeley Delaney. Ballydonegan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Becc McAaron was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Berkeley Delaney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beairtle Gollogley in the 21st minute of play. If Lee McBrand had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lee McBrand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Comhghall Mullan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Knockanare's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Lee McBrand 32 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. In the 35th minute of the match, Teagan Ryan got a very nice opportunity to score, but Comhghall Mullan was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Lee McBrand succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-2 in the 38th playminute. A collision led to Ballydonegan getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Ryan Horgan hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lee McBrand was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lee McBrand in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Comhghall Mullan saved Knockanare from getting behind. Comhghall Mullan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lee McBrand in the 54th minute of the match. Berkeley Delaney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Becc McAaron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th minute Brenan Benson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Berkeley Delaney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 70th minute of the game. One of Knockanare:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ballydonegan:s goal. After having played for 75 minutes, Lee McBrand managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ballydonegan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lee McBrand was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 79th match minute, Ballydonegan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lee McBrand to maneuver through the defense. Ballydonegan's Berkeley Delaney proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Ballydonegan from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Ballydonegan getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Booak Martyn hit a great ball. Ballydonegan's Berkeley Delaney played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tevin Hutton in the 85th minute of play. Lee McBrand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Comhghall Mullan having to interfere. Pierson McNamara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lee McBrand might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Comhghall Mullan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lee McBrand ran back to his position shaking his head. Berkeley Delaney showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beairtle Gollogley in the 93rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Knockanare's Becc McAaron got a free kick in the 94th minute.
